Ok, so here’s the deal. I know there aren’t many out there who share my love of historically-based RTS’s. And you know what? That’s fine. It really is. You don’t have to enjoy taking a few hours to learn the ins and outs of tens of different tiny units and dedicate yourself to microing them in the most efficient way. You don’t have to lie in bed and think about how a different strategy could have won you that intense 1v1 online battle you just played. (…Stop looking at me like that. I’m normal.)
But if you DO happen to share my sentiments, if you ARE a history nerd and have sunk hundreds of hours into games like Company of Heroes and the Total War games (or you would have if you were unemployed like I’ve been until recently), then check this out.
The game is called Ultimate General: Gettysburg, and the devs (Game-Labs) are hoping to have this up on Steam Early Access by early May. Aside from that, I will let the video do the talking.
Enjoy, brothers in arms. Or, go enjoy your point-and-clikery (which is perfectly legitimate but still apallingly unappealing to me). Whatever. You do you.
